Kare by Kayla is an individually owned, operated and insured Newborn Care Specialist and Postpartum Doula business, backed with over thirteen years of professional childcare experience.
The foundation of my work is built on creating a nurturing and respectful environment where children can thrive emotionally, socially, and developmentally, from their very first breath. Newborns are people who have their own preferences, personalities and needs, and must be cared for as individuals.
I strive to make parents feel seen, heard, and genuinely supported in whatever way they need. Whether I’m helping first-time parents navigate their new normal with a newborn or supporting second- or third-time parents so they can get the rest they deserve, I show up with calm energy, consistency, and heartfelt care. I am committed to guiding families through the newborn stage with care, respect, and understanding for every race, faith, gender identity, and family journey.
When I’m not collaborating on care with families, I treasure quality time with my wife, Alex, my stepdaughters, Kyli and Riley, and our fur baby, Benji. Game nights, movie marathons, reading, listening to music and sharing good meals are some of my favorite ways to unwind. I love traveling whether it’s a quick weekend trip to another state or kicking back poolside at an all-inclusive resort.

In 2013, my journey of working with children began with my first job post- high school graduation.

I started working in an in-home daycare where I was able to nurture my already blossoming love for caring for children.

From there, I continued to work in several other daycares across the Union County area.

Here, I was able to gain hands on experience supporting the early development of children in a structured classroom setting.

When I wasn't working inside the classroom, I could be found inside the homes of families on weekends, providing extended care coverage and help with dinner and bedtime routines.

As my passion grew, 2020 was the year I transitioned into becoming a full-time nanny, where I had the opportunity to support families with more individualized care.

In 2022, I discovered my calling to work with newborns and parents during the early postpartum period and began work as a Night Nanny.

In 2023, officially said goodbye to life as a full-time nanny and I officially made the leap into the world of full-time newborn and postpartum care.
